My Favorite Things For the Week Ending July7th

A few things I've tried tis week that I wanted to tell you about. I received a sample of gud Floral Cherrynova Natural Body Butter from Burt'sBees. Next favorite thing is the Lipton Iced Green Tea Packets with Honey.  I tried the Blackerry Pomegranate.  It was a lot better than I thought it would be.  Really delicious.  It's just five calories per packet.  I put it in my bottle of water and shook it a couple of times.  It mixed well. I received a free sample of the Active Cell Renewal Night Serum from Bare Escentuals.  I've used the makeup in the past and really liked it.  So I was anxious to try this product. All I had to pay was the shipping. Since I live in Canada the shipping was 13.00 but well worth it. Active Cell Renewal Night Serum from the package: Is clinically proven to help maximize cellular renewal and boost moisture levels, so you wake up to firm, beautifully radiant, younger-looking skin. I used  the serum at night. After cleansing I applied a pearl-sized amount to my face and neck. I would then apply my nighttime moisturizer.

 I love this serum!  Let me say it again! I love this serum!  I noticed a change in my skin the very next morning. It was smooth, soft like velvet and my skin glowed.  Yes, it glowed! The more I used it the more I couldn't wait to wash my face at night and put it on. I told my mom that my skin has never looked this good.  I received this 0.10 fl. oz sample on April 11, 2012.  I just used the last of it last night.  I turned the bottle over and hit the bottom making sure I got every last bit of it out.It's very light-weight.  You don't need a lot like I said before.  It's not greasy and melts into your skin very quickly.  You don't have to worry about it leaving any residue on your pillow. Bio Oil

I have extremely dry skin especially in the winter.  I've tried many body lotions.  They work for a while but don't last very long.  I need something to keep my skin hydrated all day.  I originally bought Bio Oil for the scars on my legs left from me scratching my dry skin. Bio Oil according to the package can be used scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, aging and dehydrated skin. It contains Vitamins A & E, Calendula, Lavender, Rosemary and Chamomile Oils.

So I started using the Bio Oil mainly for the scars, but I decided to use it in place of my body lotion for my dehydrated skin. My skin drank it in immediately.  It's not greasy and has a nice light scent. I was pleasantly surprised by that.

The first time using it I noticed that I didn't have to reapply it later in the day.  It kept my skin hydrated, smooth and soft. I've using it on a regular basis for five weeks and my skin doesn't get dry or crack anymore.  The scars have faded.  I will continue to use Bio Oil.  I've actually bought another from Well.ca before I've finished the first one. Great product!  I highly recommend it.

Nivea Visage Aqua Sensation Eye Cream

As I have gotten older I have noticed the bags and the skin darkening under my eyes.  I decided to try the Nivea Visage Aqua Sensation Anti-Shadow Eye Cream.  From the box: Nivea Visage Aqua Sensation Eye Cream enriched with Magnesium, Ginseng and Cucumber Extracts, invigorates the eye area with the cooling sensation of moisture.

This cream delivered on it's promises.  The area under my eye is firmer, no puffiness and the skin tone is lighter. The cream keeps my eye area hydrated all day long.  The cream itself soothes my eye area with the cooling sensation and blends in quickly.  It's not greasy or heavy at all. Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream

I have been using Garnier skincare and haircare products for several years now.  So, I was happy to see this new cream.  I bought this cream myself from Well.ca and tried it out for 3 weeks.

Well, I love the scent and the cream is very refreshing and just melts into the skin.  Not greasy at all and it made my skin feel soft. I like that it has Grape Water Extract which has antioxidants to protect dry skin from harsh environments and vitamin E to soothe and condition the skin. the only problem was it didn't keep my skin moist all day.  I found myself reapplying the cream by midday. So, I will use this cream along with my favorite Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Regenerating Moisture Cream because I like the ingredients and it did make my skin feel good.  Just didn't keep it hydrated all day.

Sibu Beauty: Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser

I received a free sample of this product from Sibu Beauty.  I have not been compensated for this review.  I love trying new skin care products.  I have to say the Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser is a great product. I use this cleanser everyday and my skin feels great after every use.  My face feels clean, soft and fresh.  There are micro-particles for gentle exfoliation of the skin everyday. The cleanser rinses off my skin very easily.  It has a very light citrus scent to it.  I haven't had any breakouts and I have been using this cleanser for a couple of weeks.

Bobbi Brown Brightening Moisture Cream Review

I remember seeing this moisturizing cream in my mom's bathroom cabinet and asking her what she thought of it. She had nothing but good things to say about it except for the price of 75 dollars. I knew I could not afford that so I just decided I didn't need it. Imagine my delight when she bought it for me for my birthday! My birthday is in October and I've been using it every day and night since then. The results are that my skin is softer. brighter and more even. It's not greasy and has a very mild scent of citrus. Like I said I've been using it day and night for the past 3 months and I'm just running out of it now. So, I guess that is a good bargain for the price.
