Relief From Dry Skin In Your Shower with Nivea: Tuesday Tip

I have a habit of forgetting to moisturize my dry skin after my bath or shower. Usually I'm taking a bath or shower while something is cooking or right before I pick up the kids from school, so I'm always in a hurry.

Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion provides relief from my dry skin and saves me time too.

It's an in-shower lotion you put on after washing with your regular soap. It contains shea butter and moisturizes instantly.  It's not sticky and rinses off easily leaving my skin smooth and soft. My skin stays moisturized for hours. Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion also has a lovely scent similar to the Nivea cream I remember from my childhood.

I highly recommend this product! To find out more about this and other Nivea products go to their website Niveausa.com.

I received a sample of the Dermagist Hydrating Spa System to try and review.  I have extremely dry skin and the winter months are usually torture on my skin.  So, when I given the chance to try out the skin care system I jumped at the chance.  It has 3 different creams, one for the hands The Hydro-Renewal Hand Cream, the feet  The Foot & Heel Revitalizing Cream and then the entire body The Hydropeutic Body Lotion.I used them every day for the past couple of months.  My skin drinks in the cream.  It doesn't take a lot for me to rub it in. All of them have a mild scent.  The Foot & Heel Revitalizing Cream has a peppermint scent to it that's very soothing to me. I keep the feet and hand creams by my bed and use them every night before sleeping.  My skin stays soft and smooth for hours after using the cream.  I highly recommend them.  This is the time to start thinking about getting your skin looking lovely for summer!

Dermagist has graciously offered me a chance to giveaway the skin care system.  One lucky winner will win the entire the Hydrating Spa System.  Thank you to Dermagist.  The giveaway begins March 1st and will end March 20h.  The giveaway is open to residents of the US and Canada. Bio Oil

Bio Oil

I have extremely dry skin especially in the winter.  I've tried many body lotions.  They work for a while but don't last very long.  I need something to keep my skin hydrated all day.  I originally bought Bio Oil for the scars on my legs left from me scratching my dry skin. Bio Oil according to the package can be used scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, aging and dehydrated skin. It contains Vitamins A & E, Calendula, Lavender, Rosemary and Chamomile Oils.

So I started using the Bio Oil mainly for the scars, but I decided to use it in place of my body lotion for my dehydrated skin. My skin drank it in immediately.  It's not greasy and has a nice light scent. I was pleasantly surprised by that.

The first time using it I noticed that I didn't have to reapply it later in the day.  It kept my skin hydrated, smooth and soft. I've using it on a regular basis for five weeks and my skin doesn't get dry or crack anymore.  The scars have faded.  I will continue to use Bio Oil.  I've actually bought another from Well.ca before I've finished the first one. Great product!  I highly recommend it.

Review of the Day: St. Ives Soothing Oatmeal & Shea Butter Body Moisturizer

This time of year I find my skin extra dry and rough. My daughter has the same problem. I use whatever body lotion I find on sale for myself and it works out fine. My daughter is another story. Her skin is extremely dry and the doctor recommended we use Aveeno. And it works well for her. Well, we ran out of the Aveeno and it's between paydays so I decided to try the St. Ives.

It's St. Ives Soothing Oatmeal & Shea Butter Advanced Moisturizer. It was about half the price of the Aveeno. I tried it on my daughter's skin. It's really creamy, very soothing when you put it on. It blends well into the skin and non-irritating. . I used it on myself as well as my daughter. I noticed that hours later my skin isn't dry and I don't have to reapply. The scent is light and pleasant. St. Ives states on the bottle that it has 100% natural moisturizers and dermatologist tested. It's not tested on animals and has no animal ingredients. So, it's good for vegetarians.

I'm very pleased with the results and will probably buy it again instead of the Aveeno.
